One Washington rule catches people out: a wood or pellet stove has to be EPA 2020 certified to be installed here, and that includes used ones. If you’re hoping to put an older stove back in service, that’s the first thing to check.

Can you put a TV above a gas fireplace?
Often, yes — it depends on the unit and how it’s installed. Many setups need a heat management kit that steers heat away from the wall above the fireplace. Clearances are specific to your model and your wall, so call the team and we’ll tell you what yours needs before anything gets mounted.
Will a gas insert actually heat the room?

If the old unit is an uncertified wood stove, Washington law says it can’t be sold or given away — so it goes to metal recycling, and we handle that. If you’re replacing one, ask us about the clean-air program that pays homeowners to recycle old stoves; the timing matters, so bring it up before we install.
