How our pricing works
Most jobs have one flat price. When one needs parts or runs long, you hear the number before any work starts, and nothing gets added without your okay. That’s the whole arrangement.

You get the price before the work. Parts, and any repair time past the first hour, are talked through before your technician goes ahead. Nothing gets added to the invoice after the fact.

Flat means flat. $250 for gas, $280–$420 for pellet, $270 or $290 for a wood sweep, and $150 for an inspection. Not a starting price.

We tell you when not to spend. If a unit is past saving, you hear it before you have paid for parts. An honest no is part of the service.

FLAT VS. HOURLY
What flat pricing means
- Home services often bill by the hour, so the price depends on how long the job takes. A flat price is set by the job instead: a gas service is $250 whether it takes forty minutes or the full hour.
- That works in your favor two ways. You know the number before anyone arrives, and you never have to watch the clock. An experienced technician often finishes faster, and with a flat price, you get that experience without paying for anyone’s learning curve.
The one exception is repair time. When a repair pushes the visit past an hour, time after that is $15 per 15 minutes, and you’ll hear about it before it happens.

Why some prices are flat and some aren't
Some jobs are the same in every home, and some depend on what we find.
Flat rate: service, sweeps, and inspections
A service visit, a sweep, and an inspection follow the same steps in every home, so each has one price. Pellet service depends on the brand, and a sweep depends on the height of the house. Otherwise the number doesn't move.

The unit, the venting, and the room all change the work. A flat number would overcharge some homes and shortchange others, so installation starts with a $130 site check, credited to the install, and a real number for your house.

Why is pellet service priced by brand?
Some pellet stoves are more familiar than others. Your technician services Whitfield, Avalon, Quadra-Fire (except the Mt. Vernon), Lopi, Enviro, Breckwell, IHP, and Harman often enough to finish within about an hour, so those are $280. Other brands, including the Mt. Vernon, usually take longer, so they’re $420.
Why is installation quoted instead of a flat rate?
The unit, the venting, and your room all change the work. It starts with a $130 site check, credited to your install. Install labor runs $700–$1,200, depending mostly on the venting.
What does the wood sweep include?
$270 for a single-story home, $290 for two-story. Your technician sweeps the chimney, checks it from the firebox to the top, and walks you through what they found.
